Date: Tuesday, November 10, 2020
Time & Duration: 6:00 PM - 6:15 PM – 15 minutes
Opening Thoughts
The e-board had to split the meeting in two because of scheduling purposes; this week’s recap only reflects the first meeting on Nov. 10.
Summary
Morgan (Co-President) and Fatoumata (Event Coordinator) have made developments on their original event idea. Instead of hosting a workshop on professionalism, they plan on hosting guest speaker Julie Shaw. Shaw will share her career journey and provide helpful advice for PRSSA members interested in creative entrepreneurship.
Shaw will discuss the realities of entrepreneurship in addition to introducing her membership program.
Currently, we don’t have an event date, but the event should happen in late November.
We initially stated that we wanted to collaborate with other Georgia State organizations for this event; we’re still in the process of finding hosting partners and/or inviting other organizations. To increase outside attendance, we’ll also do a gift card giveaway.
Daniel and Kennedy (Social Media Co-Chairs) will be responsible for online promotional efforts once key details are finalized.
Next Steps
Due to a lack of applicants, the deadline for e-board applications has been pushed back. We encourage PRSSA members to share this opportunity with those who think they’ll be a good fit.
